Halcyon House located on the stunning coastline of Northern NSW is only 15 minutes drive south from the Gold Coast. The motel was run down and was originally bought as a holiday home for their large family by owners and sisters, Siobhan and Elisha. They ended up turning this 1960’s Australian motel into a work of art, celebrating it’s history and turning it into a boutique hotel. The Architecture was done by Virginia Kerridge, based in Sydney and the interior design by Anna Spiro, based in Brisbane. Anna sourced textiles from all over the world, using the fabric to up holster the walls in the bedrooms, ensuring no 2 rooms are the same. Furniture was also sourced from antique dealers, from Brisbane to an antique fair in Massachusetts.
